Hi Ladies and welcome to my first ever blog !
This has certainly been an interesting couple of months to say the least. Having our lives shut down and changed drastically is very stressful , this is new to us and we all were learning how to navagate a new world . With all the stress and worry that came with the virus the importance of exercise is momumetal for our mental wellbeing . I know gyms were closed and maybe now open with limitations but there is a lot we can do in our own homes or even outside. In fact this may be a new normal . I am here to be your cheerleader because we all need some positivity right now !
First of all I would say get outside in the sunshine , you know good old vitamin D. Walk ,run skip whatever makes you happy..... the good endorphins will kick in I promise but it will take more then 10 minutes ladies so hang in there. If you dont have handheld weights or a home gym you can use your own bodyweight , think plank , push-up ( modified is good ) pilates is wonderful ! You are alrerady buying on amazon so order some small weights.... If the idea of working out for an hour is daunting then break it up into several shorter sessions throughout the day. The hardest thing is starting but I have a trick. Lay your exercise clothes out the night before, after you get out of bed in the morning put the clothes on immediately then put music on that makes you dance around the kitchen.....( yes I do this and I'm glad neighbors cant see in my house:) This will get you motivated I promise.
I do hope that even though this was a hard time in our lives and many things changed , that some postive good changes came out of this . For example- time with our spouses , kids etc. that is less hectic. We are all cooking more now, spending time in our homes and apparently baking sourdough bread, spending time talking at the dinner table and just being in the moment. I personally started a vegatable garden , I will leave the bread baking to my Daughter-in -law ......
I Know this pandemic has left everyone feeling stressed, perhaps depressed but I know that exercise will improve your mood and kick in those awesome endorphins! Baby steps ......YOU GOT THIS !!! Much love and hugs to you ladies, the best is yet to come.
